Description
The idea to produce a red sweet wine came from Rüdiger and Jutta, who took a city break to Porto in the winter of 2022. After their first glass of port, they were completely enthralled, and Rüdiger said, "We can do that too."
Port wine (Portuguese:Vinho do Porto) isa red, and occasionally white,sweet winewith an alcohol content of around 20% ABV. It originates from theAlto Douroregion inPortugal'sDouro Valley. However, it is named after the Portuguese port cityof Porto.
The fine port wines mature for years in oak barrels to achieve a softer, smoother texture and a richer flavor.
The basis should be our flagship wine, Cabernet Edition Ökonomierat. The wine was aged for 48 months in old barriques so that it would not take on any woody notes, but only mature notes. With our organic alcohol raised to 20% ABV, it has a strong flavor with aromas of dark fruits, dark chocolate, acacia honey, and a hint of tobacco with a subtle wood note.
